Gun Trade Association calls on RFDs to provide vital data for licensing review
A survey to assess the quality of service being provided by police licensing departments has been launched by the GTA. The Home office has recently launched a review of fees for certificates, including RFDs, with a view to full cost recovery. An exercise will take place during June where the costs of providing the licensing service will be calculated across ten force areas.
Simon West of the GTA said: “As I represent you at the Firearms Fees Working Group, I would like to have data at hand to ensure that we can analyse the captured costs against a measure of service received. I would now like to capture your experience of the process – good or bad.”
Please could you spend less than 5 minutes filling in the survey HERE I would welcome you passing this on to as many RFDs as possible to ensure we get an accurate UK picture.
Thank you in advance!
